Annually, the recreation commission shall submit a budget to the governing authority
for approval. The commission shall submit quarterly requisitions to the city and county
for anticipated financial needs during an ensuing quarter so that disbursements by
the city and county shall be made quarterly to the commission. The aggregate of the
four quarterly requests for funds shall in no event exceed the annual budget submitted
by the commission and approved by the city and the county.
(b)
The commission may also solicit or receive any gifts or bequests of money or other
personal property or any donation to be applied, principal, or income, for either
temporary or permanent use for playgrounds or other recreational purposes.
