§ 6-14. Public hearing on application.

  • All applications for licenses shall be acted upon by the mayor and council after a public hearing and advertisement thereof in at least two consecutive issues of the legal organ of the city, which notice shall contain a particular description of the location of the proposed business and shall give the name of the applicant, and the name of the person who shall hold the license on behalf of the applicant, if different, and if a partnership, the names of all general and limited partners, and if a corporation, the names of the person who shall have primary responsibility for managing the business together with the owners of at least 25 percent of the shares of stock in the corporation, together with the names of the officers and board of directors. The public hearing shall be held not sooner than ten days nor more than 20 days subsequent to the date of the first advertisement.
